We are a family oriented club with many members, some with children, others with grandchildren, that all enjoy a weekend at "the Club". Membership for 2007The membership dues for non-boating members are divided as follows:Harsens Island Membership $200.00(with proof of residency on Harsens Island) ,Seinors (62) $200.00.All others $400.00If you wish to be a boating member; it allows you use of the harbor (as long as you are in attendance). The Idle Hour Yacht Club was originally built in 1891 by Charles Coulter and his partner and was sold in 1895 to a group of men who used it for a fishing and hunting club. At one point is was called the Riverside Hotel and was described in the local guidebooks as "a small but cheerful and home-like hostelry, where popular prices and first-class cooking prevail in a rare combination."
